Who is Milestones Ministry?
Debbie and Burt Streicher are grateful for the last 11 years at Milestones Ministry and working alongside David and Gloria Anderson. David and Gloria decided to retire and focus on other areas of life and faith as of January 1, 2026. We wish them the best and many blessings as we know they will continue to practice face to face faith formation through recognizing life’s milestones with all who cross their path.
Debbie and Burt will continue on with making Milestone Moments and Modules available for the congregation and the home. Debbie will also begin to offer life, grief, and end of life coaching as another way to recognize our life’s journey.
Meet Burt and Debbie Streicher
Burt and Debbie have been married for 46 years and have enjoyed the opportunity to work together for Milestones Ministry for the past 11 years. They have lived in many places across the country, in Spain, and in Japan thanks to Burt’s 26 year career in the Navy.
They feel blessed to have three sons, two daughter-in-laws, and two grandsons. They enjoy traveling to visit them all often as they are located in Virginia, Missouri, and London, England.
Meet Debbie
Debbie writes, edits, fields communications, maintains the website and Facebook pages, and whatever else is needed at Milestones Ministry. She has facilitated, overseen, organized, and developed faith formation programs for all ages in the congregational setting for over 30 years. In 2013-2014, she helped design and update the Milestones Ministry modules for the congregation and home and coordinated and contributed to the writing of the Adult Milestones. She has hands-on used Milestones in the congregational setting for years.
She is a certified, professional ACC coach with the International Coaching Federation and also certified as a grief and end of life coach. She has served in leadership roles for several national ministry organizations and has consulted and led events, trainings, and workshops across the United States, Canada, and Australia. Her passion is to involve all ages in faith formation, strengthen family relationships through Spiritual growth, and empower God-given gifts to do ministry.
Debbie also loves working with puppets and is actively involved in the Fellowship of Christian Puppeteers and a member of Puppeteers of America. She has a YouTube channel where she recorded a Taking Faith Home message each week for three years alongside her puppet, Rosita. The series is based on the Revised Common Lectionary Years A, B, and C. Taking Faith Home was published by Milestones Ministry for 11 years and now has a new home where it is being published by Spirit & Truth Publishing.
Debbie’s background is in language. Coupled with her passion for family ministry, she uses her knowledge and experience learned from teaching foreign languages as a tool to implement systems for teaching about immersion in the language of faith.
Meet Burt
Burt handles the administrative side at Milestones Ministry and continually supports Debbie in anything needed from templates set to editing to listening to advice (that is sometimes not heeded). He is a retired registered professional engineer (PE). His previous position was as a principal research scientist for the Center for Naval Analyses (CNA), specializing in leadership, infrastructure readiness and resource management. Burt has a Doctor of Management in Business Management from the International Management Centres Association in Buckingham, England which he has used to help guide and establish the financial operations of Milestones Ministry LLC.
His background has included 26 years of active duty in the United States Navy as a Naval Officer, achieving the rank of Captain. In addition he directed for several years a national facilities services business operation with over 2,500 employees servicing public school districts in 20 states for a Fortune 500 company. He has also provided professional research and analyses products for the Navy and Marine Corps for over a decade before retiring from CNA.
Burt has had the pleasure of mentoring and teaching every age level of youth from pre-school through high school with Debbie and others in various congregations for many years. Burt has gained an understanding and appreciation for leadership and lifelong faith formation through first-hand experience. He has a deep appreciation for the benefits of faith practice development and the celebration of life’s milestones in the congregation and the home. Burt uses his training and experience to support all that needs to be done to maintain and sustain the work at Milestones Ministry LLC .
